The Days of the Week worksheet focuses not only on the names of the days of the week and spelling but also introduces ELL students to the ordinal number day of the week and how to use it in a complete sentence. Students will identify the vocabulary in a sentence and replace the name with the order number of the day of the week. This is a great lesson for higher-order thinking skills for ELLs. The Days of the Week worksheet with missing days has students focus on recalling the order of the days of the week. In the first Days of the Week worksheet we introduced the names, and in this worksheet ELL students will practice putting days in order and how to correctly spell each one. Again, we include the order number in the phrase "the 5th day of the week" to match the day of the week. These worksheets are a great resource for additional supplements to lessons or a quick bell ringer!

Introduce ELL students to family members in English. Students can practice asking each other common questions such as "Who do you live with?" and learn to respond by answering using the sentence frames provided. They will also be able to practice spelling the vocabulary by unscrambling the letters.
