This is a student lab sheet for students to use while completing the rocks and minerals experiment. These students will observe the color, texture, luster, size, and visible characteristics of the rocks and minerals and then record the results in this chart. I just completed this experiment on November 10th, 2014 and the students absolutely loved it! Check out other products in the Made by an Elementary Guy STORE!
This handout was used to study the three different types of soil which include: Red Clay, Humus, and Sandy Soil. The students were able to feel the texture of the soil and visually observe it. The students colored in the circle to make it appear like the soil. The students wrote bullet points on the lines for each of the two parts. This was the second Fun Friday experiment I did. Check out the Rocks and Minerals Experiment handout on my page as well in MrPenberthy
We use iPads to go onto weatherbug.com and look up the weather daily during this week-long unit. This weather tracker allows us to record vital data for weather forecasting. Find more great science products in the Made by an Elementary Guy STORE!
This handout allows students to understand the mummification process by completing the handout along with an interactive smartboard mummification activity. This can also be completed by using a read-aloud book on mummification. Be sure to check out NY Elementary Guy Store for more cool stuff!
With the 2020 presidential election coming up this is a must have! This is a great activity for those who are teaching virtual students. You do not have to lift a finger (the directions are very clear in the slides) and they will learn about primaries, caucuses, Republican and Democratic parties, Donald Trump & Joe Biden's political platforms, the electoral college and more! Everything is 100% kid appropriate and nothing is aligned to steer student's to one political party or candidate. By

This is a Jeopardy game where students' knowledge of Ancient Greece vocabulary and people will be tested. This is appropriate for grades 5-7 and will be a great review game prior to the chapter or unit test. All you will need is to have an up-to-date version of PowerPoint and the rest functions just like a game of Jeopardy.
With the purchase of this product you will receive a FREE resource with all the vocabulary terms on online flashcards which also has review games that students can play!
This is a 5-layer (page) noise level chart with a fun twist so that students will actually follow it. This is a superhero/secret agent twist so each student goes on a mission for whatever task you have them doing.
This is a handout which can be given as a guide for students to conduct a project where students can choose a topic that they have learned about this year and use a technology tool (Prezi, Explain Everything, Powerpoint, Videolicious, etc.) to review the material with the rest of the class. Rubric is included (2 rubrics per page).
A GREAT FINAL EXAM PREPARATION PROJECT or ASSESSMENT!
Important! Some features such as video are not usable in Powerpoint. I will email you the link to my Google Slides Presentation after purchasing so that you may have access to all features!
This PowerPoint/Google Slides is a funny presentation to show students the common pitfalls when using powerpoint and google slides. Slides include crazy font, silly cat pictures that have nothing to do with the slides, and more! The powerpoint ends with an example of good slide.

This is a game-changer I wish I would've done years ago! Student proficiency has increased greatly since allowing them to use this template! This student work template allows students to organize their work, find the least common denominator in the T chart, show the multiplication of the numerator and denominator by the same number, and then add and check if the answer needs to be simplified.
This packet includes a blank 4 Square chart for each of the four seasons: spring, summer, fall, winter. This is perfect for students to track the differences between the seasons. If you need an example for what is to be included in each of the four squares google: (4 square examples). Be sure to check to the Made by an Elementary Guy STORE for more great stuff!

This is a good way to get students writing at the beginning of the year. I only have one job in my classroom, Noise Monitor. This could easily be adapted for multiple jobs. Students will complete the application and then you can review their writing skills and personality.
