The Little Engine That Could: Numeracy Sorting Activity (Circle/Mat Activity)
This is a little mat session activity that I've created based on the story book 'The Little Engine That Could'. The sorting activity can be used as a integrated numeracy activity after reading the story to the children during a shared reading session. It has two parts, once on a board, and next with the children able experience it themselves, just to really get them to understand the concept of sorting. First part: the children can sort the toys by colour (5 colours) into the same coloured train
