This is a introduction lesson for solving system of linear equations in two variables. It combines three methods: graphing and two algebraic methods. It takes 50 min to explain the procedures and show practical examples. The Cartesian's coordinate system is provided for graphical examples. Basically showing these simple examples gives introductory overview of the topic. It is suggested to make next lesson as a practical workshop for students that might working individually or in groups.

This is an introduction lesson to the Elementary/Intermediate Algebra which defines what is the real numbers set as well as different types of set notations. Besides important definitions of terms used through whole algebra there are included properties for real numbers and visual chart of real numbers subsets. I use the nestled principle to explain for students how each subset belongs to its set. It is even more powerful if you have some objects to show how each one piece is nested inside bigge

The lecture includes topics: graphs of line, function notation. It can be used as review or as a lesson to introduce function notation. The examples are practical and last one is real life application of using graphs and functions. In general, it gives overview of graphs and functions as special kind of relations. In case students are confused how to determine is relation a function or not, I suggest the following approach. Let consider each element of domain represent a child and each element

Experience

I have been working as a teacher since 1999. I taught the computer science classes in the public school, computer science courses at university, and, currently, I teach Mathematics in community college.

Teaching style

I prefer to teach with Interactive white board or tablet. I think the use of new technology is very powerful tool, and each teacher should use it. Many advantages might be noted just few of them: it saves time, enables sending the completed notes to students who were absent with unavoidable reasons.

My own education history
