What are we doing this weekend is the premise of this project.
Students will plan a weekend with their friend, including itinerary for vendredi soir, samedi, samedi soir et dimanche. They will then write texts back and forth to converse about the weekend using the FUTUR PROCHE.
This includes a planning sheet, rubric, rough copy sheet and success criteria.
Students research a 7 day weather forecast for a city. They pretend to be a weather person, create a forecast poster as a visual aid and present their weather report to the class.

Prior learning – Please make sure you have covered prepositions, colours, numbers and Christmas vocabulary prior to using this activity.
Listening – Read the description of the Christmas tree to the class, give them time to colour and draw what they here.
Reading – The same paragraph is used – allow students to read the description
Students match sides of this puzzle using corresponding verb/subject agreements of Vouloir, Pouvoir and Devoir. I am using it as a review for grades 7 and 8 to help with remembering how to conjugate the three verbs.

This 23 page activity comes with both a numerical order and scrambled format for learning first and then testing the students new skills with a harder version of the game.
Cut along the horizontal lines, fold in half to have the students read the “J’ai” side then flip to the “Qui a” side.
This is a good way to let FSL or even primary immersion French classes practice vocabulary relating to the time of year. Students like to go through the chain with a timer to see if they can get through the vocab quick!

Students can practice colours, numbers and parts of the body in French with this package.
They will follow a model using the verb avoir.
Ex . Le monstre a 3 yeux.
They will draw a monster from instructions provided.
Then they have an opportunity to write their own instructions for a monster and describe their monster to a classmate to see if their classmate can draw the same monster from the instructions.
Cut the cards out along the horizontal lines fold the cards in half or leave them long. Students listen for their word and then respond to the asker. I use a timer to have my kids compete to get the fastest time. PLEASE NOTE MANTEAU IS SPELLED WRONG IN THE PREVIEW BUT NOT ACTUAL PRODUCT...Sorry.
