About the store
I am finishing my 15th year teaching in public schools. I have taught middle school, high school and college level French during this time. I grew up in Brussels, Belgium, where I attended public schools in French. English was my native language, but I attended school until 8th grade, including preschool, in French and learned to read and write in French before English. I am a near-native francophone and you could say that I'm fully bilingual.

Experience

I am finishing my 15th year teaching in public schools. I have taught middle school, high school and college level French during this time. I grew up in Brussels, Belgium, where I attended public schools in French. English was my native language, but I attended school until 8th grade, including preschool, in French and learned to read and write in French before English. I am a near-native francophone and you could say that I'm fully bilingual.

Teaching style

Today's students need hands-on, fun activities to keep them engaged. This is why I love games, puzzles, and active play in my teaching. Repetition is important, so creating a variety of activities beyond the textbook is crucial. I try to use each of the four skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) every day to reinforce language acquisition. Music and games are a part of who I am as well, so it works out that the students also love these activities.
