This graphic organizer will allow students to break down math word problems into manageable parts and show their work in multiple ways. This organizer is great practice for SBAC, and I use it to assign my students a Weekly Word Problem each week.

Use this organized booklet to teach or review geometry with your 3rd-5th grade students! The book covers the following: polygons, parallel & perpendicular lines, parallelograms, quadrilaterals, and angles. Simply print as many copies as you have students, cut the pages in half, assemble the pages in order and staple at the top to create your very own geometry booklets!

Experience

Teaching style
My teaching style is very student centered. I cater to my students by 1) scaffolding instruction to meet the different needs of my students and 2) using content that they are curious about. The Common Core State Standards require students to have certain skills and perform certain tasks, but it doesn't specify how students need to get there. Therefore, I find resources that my students are interested in to teach them reading skills or to have them solve word problems about. Let's make learning fun and relevant for students!
