Experience
My 23 years of teaching has taken me on quite a journey through grade one, grade two, grade five, grade 6, and gifted education. I teach in a suburban public school district south of the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Teaching style
Project-based learning is at the heart of my classroom. I believe in giving students a CHOICE in how they show their learning, and I think it is important for them to VOICE, or share, their learning with authentic audiences.
My own education history
I am a passionate, lifelong learner. I attended Penn State University for Elementary Education. I have a Master's Degree in Instructional Technology and am a certified administrator.
Additional biographical information
I live with my husband and two sons, ages 16 and 13. When I'm not working, I enjoy reading fiction, cooking, Barre3 classes, and an occasional glass of wine.
