My name is Ashley and I'm in my seventh year of teaching at an urban high school in Pennsylvania. I teach a self-contained Reading Class for Special Education students. I instill in my students positive attitudes in and out of the classroom!
I use this biweekly student check as a quick check in with regular education teachers to see how my special education students are doing in the general education curriculum. Teachers seem to really enjoy this because it is quick and addresses immediate concerns.

I love teaching and encouraging my students to be lifelong learners and readers! Growing up, I never had a teacher that made reading fun and exciting for me, so my goal is to be that teacher for my students.
