This PowerPoint is used as a writing workshop tool to break down what makes a perfect 5 paragraph essay. The PowerPoint includes a bell ringer, exit card, explanation of each paragraph and sections for modeling each paragraph that goes into a 5 paragraph essay; making this perfect & painless!

The way I teach this novel is by splitting the book 3 chapters at a time. It is used in conjunction with my PowerPoint for the Cave, The In-between and the Falling.

I used this bookmark recap for students to recall information from a few chapters of "The Time Keeper" as a bell ringer/before reading strategy. The triangle is used for its points: one connection to their own life, one prediction the student has and one question the student is wondering about. This can be adapted for any chapter :)
