I use this with my Special Education classes so the questions are therefore geared towards them. This is a great product as a jumping off point if you need higher level thinking questions!

This PowerPoint is used as a writing workshop tool to break down what makes a perfect 5 paragraph essay. The PowerPoint includes a bell ringer, exit card, explanation of each paragraph and sections for modeling each paragraph that goes into a 5 paragraph essay; making this perfect & painless!

I used this bookmark recap for students to recall information from a few chapters of "The Time Keeper" as a bell ringer/before reading strategy. The triangle is used for its points: one connection to their own life, one prediction the student has and one question the student is wondering about. This can be adapted for any chapter :)

I love teaching and encouraging my students to be lifelong learners and readers! Growing up, I never had a teacher that made reading fun and exciting for me, so my goal is to be that teacher for my students.
