I am a musician (violist!), conductor, and educator who has worked with general music, middle school choirs, and beginning to advanced level bands and orchestras in Southeastern Wisconsin. I served as the Orchestra Director at Cudahy Middle School from 2018-2020, and I am currently the Orchestra Director at New Berlin West Middle/High School teaching 7th-12th grade orchestra.

Victor's Frightful Journey - A Narrated Tale with String Accompaniment
A narrated tale with string accompaniment! Orchestra students have a very important part in supplying the sound effects for this story as they learn new bowing techniques including: Bowing behind the bridge, Tremolos, Glissandos, Taps, Knocks, Trills, Harmonics, and more! A perfect supplemental activity during the spooky season- I do this every year with my students and created a slideshow with animations to enhance the story!

Essential Elements Book 2 Orchestra Karate: Novice - Intermediate - Advanced ✨
I have done Orchestra Karate in the past and found it is a great way to keep students engaged as we work through a method book. I've found lots of Book 1 guides- but nothing about Book 2! I decided to create my own Book 2 orchestra curriculum- and carefully selected songs to assess the techniques to be mastered in Essential Elements Book 2 over the course of a school year. Teaching style
Since the learning process in music is forever ongoing, my approach to instrumental music instruction is to instill curiosity into the young minds of my students so that they can benefit from forming their own personal relationships with music.
