I am a musician (violist!), conductor, and educator who has worked with general music, middle school choirs, and beginning to advanced level bands and orchestras in Southeastern Wisconsin. I served as the Orchestra Director at Cudahy Middle School from 2018-2020, and I am currently the Orchestra Director at New Berlin West Middle/High School teaching 7th-12th grade orchestra.

Victor's Frightful Journey - A Narrated Tale with String Accompaniment
A narrated tale with string accompaniment! Orchestra students have a very important part in supplying the sound effects for this story as they learn new bowing techniques including: Bowing behind the bridge, Tremolos, Glissandos, Taps, Knocks, Trills, Harmonics, and more! A perfect supplemental activity during the spooky season- I do this every year with my students and created a slideshow with animations to enhance the story!

Scales Club - Essential Elements for Strings
Motivate your students to memorize your scales and become members of the SCALES CLUB! Scale levels are divided into bronze, silver, and gold and are adaptable to your classes/students depending on the method book they currently use. Scales align with the scale pages in Essential Elements Book 2 (Purple), Essential Technique Book 3 (Green), and Advanced Technique Book 4 (Gold). Charts include a section to write the exercise numbers, and date passed off for the teacher to sign.

FlipGrid Expression Solo Project
This 3 part project focuses on developing expression in solo repertoire. Students select an expressive excerpt, analyze and interpret the excerpt. Students then plan and practice to prepare a recording for Flipgrid. After recording, students reflect and give quality feedback to their peers. Teaching style
Since the learning process in music is forever ongoing, my approach to instrumental music instruction is to instill curiosity into the young minds of my students so that they can benefit from forming their own personal relationships with music.
