About the store
My professional journey has been shaped by a wide range of clinical and leadership experiences that fuel my passion for creating meaningful, evidence-based therapy resources. During college, I worked at Southern Ohio Medical Center (SOMC) through the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, helping patients recover from ventilator use and prolonged medically induced comas while supporting vital stabilization and rehabilitation efforts. Later, I completed fieldwork at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center—the first VA hospital established in the United States—where I had the honor of serving our nation’s veterans through patient-centered care and adaptive interventions. Since graduating, I’ve gained hands-on experience in home health and currently serve as the Assistant Director of Rehabilitation at a dementia-exclusive facility, providing care for clients with diverse diagnoses and complex behavioral needs. Within just one year of certification, I’ve received multiple offers for Director of Rehab positions, reflecting my dedication, leadership, and commitment to excellence in the field.

Experience

My professional journey has been shaped by a wide range of clinical and leadership experiences that fuel my passion for creating meaningful, evidence-based therapy resources. During college, I worked at Southern Ohio Medical Center (SOMC) through the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, helping patients recover from ventilator use and prolonged medically induced comas while supporting vital stabilization and rehabilitation efforts. Teaching style

My teaching style is rooted in compassion, creativity, and real-world experience. Having been both a therapy patient and now an Occupational Therapy professional, I believe learning should be hands-on, meaningful, and empowering for every student and client. I design my resources to promote functional learning, inclusion, and confidence-building, whether that means supporting fine motor development, sensory regulation, or adaptive life skills. Each activity and lesson I create is built on evidence-based practice and inspired by real therapy experiences in hospitals, home health, and dementia care settings. I believe in meeting learners where they are—celebrating progress, not perfection—and helping them discover their strengths through engaging, goal-driven materials. My approach combines structure with creativity to make therapy and learning both impactful and enjoyable.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Throughout my academic and athletic journey, I’ve learned the value of perseverance, adaptability, and inspiring others to reach their potential—qualities that deeply influence my approach as an educator and therapist. As a student-athlete, I was a 14-time State Qualifier in Track and Cross Country and a 13-time National Qualifier at the collegiate and Paralympic levels. I proudly set the T38 Paralympic American Record in the 1500m (2019) and later qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Trials for Team USA as well as the Arizona Challenge Games. My dedication both on and off the field earned me the Archie Griffin Sportsmanship Award, recognition as a 6x Academic All-Ohioan, and Academic All-Conference honors twice in college. I’m also an 8x Conference Champion and 2x Mid-Ohio Conference honoree in Cross Country. Beyond athletics, I’ve been honored by the Ohio State House and Senate Resolution Bill #333, which recognized my national-level Paralympic achievements. My journey has also been featured in Runner’s World Magazine and included in college textbooks for Adaptive Physical Education and Sport, showcasing my passion for inclusion and adaptive performance. My “shining teacher moment” comes from connecting my personal experiences with resilience and determination to my professional mission—empowering students and clients to overcome challenges, build confidence, and celebrate progress in every form.

My own education history

I graduated from Unioto High School in Chillicothe, Ohio, where I earned Academic Honor Roll recognition all four years. During that time, I was an active member of both the Drug Free Clubs of America and the National Honor Society, reflecting my commitment to leadership, integrity, and community involvement. I continued my academic journey in college, where I made the President’s List and earned Academic All-Conference honors twice for outstanding performance both in the classroom and through extracurricular dedication. During my Occupational Therapy program, I received special recognition for excellence in clinical fieldwork, honoring my effort, professionalism, and dedication to helping others achieve their goals through therapeutic practice.

Additional biographical information

My journey into Occupational Therapy is deeply personal. I was born two months premature with intrauterine growth restriction and diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at just one year old. Growing up, I wore leg braces (AFOs) and spent countless hours in Physical, Occupational, Speech, and Music Therapy—the very services that helped me grow, move, and find my voice. In 6th grade, I laced up my running shoes, broke free from my leg braces—just like the real-life Forrest Gump moment—and I’ve been running toward my goals ever since. By high school, a career project helped me realize that I wanted to turn my experience as a therapy patient into a lifelong mission. Now, as an Occupational Therapy professional and resource creator, my goal is simple: to help others realize their potential, break barriers, and believe that anything is possible.
