This powerpoint presentation is saved and sold as a .pdf for you to use with your students as a review on decimals! You can use this with the whole class or in centers. I've used this with my whole class and have my students show me their answers on mini white boards or on paper. In centers, one student gets to be the "teacher" while the rest of the small group writes/shows their answers. Whatever works for you! Beginning with slide 3, the odd slides have the decimal problem and the even sl

Editable Bug Themed Birthday Display!

I created this adorable “bug” themed birthday display for a friend who uses these cute critters in his classroom! There are three different styles for each month. Half sheets in a vertical format, and full sheets in both vertical and horizontal. This way you can print out the style that best suits your classroom! Fall & Halloween Themed Division with Arrays Presentation and Printables!

This is a cute Fall/Halloween product designed for you to use as a way to demonstrate division with arrays and how multiplication is related (inverse operation) to division. There are two different presentations (one fall themed and one Halloween) where you would project the arrays, circle the rows and/or columns to demonstrate the break down of division, and then write the related multiplication equation. These presentations are in a PDF form, not in a PowerPoint form. Then there are also two

About the store

Experience

I've taught in a regular classroom setting, grades K-4, for the past 26 years. I also have experience working with inclusion and special education students.

Teaching style

I believe in doing it all. Small groups and conferring do wonders for young children but also teaching to the whole group at once is beneficial, too. I love using games, centers, and technology as much as possible. When possible, I like doing "contracts" where students work at their own pace through a skill with guidance from me when they have their required "check in" conference.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I was named "Teacher of the Year" in 2000 and became a semi-finalist for my school district's title. I've been nominated three times since then and have been in the "Top 3" for my school each time. In addition, I've received other awards such as "Chick-Fil-A's" student recognition award.

My own education history

I'm currently in my 12th year at the same school and have been in the same school system since I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in 1990. I have my undergrad in Elementary Education, my Masters in Elementary Education, my Specialists Degree in Leadership/Administration. I also have my TSS endorsement.
