Owl Things First

This readers’ theatre is perfect for Seuss Day or any day. Written especially for young readers, this could also be done by older students to help with fluency and to read to a young class. Two acts are included. Act one is based on The Cat in the Hat. Act two is taken from One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. I plan to add to these as time goes on. Color coded parts help students keep track of their lines.

These calendar numbers are a must have for any classroom. Each number comes with an accompanying owl fact. Cut the 2.5 inch owls out and put the fact behind each number. Three colors for each number are included. Each day read your students a new fact about owls. This would be a great morning starter for your class. Students can copy the fact and illustrate it to practice reading, and handwriting. These should work on whatever calender system you use.
