A fun (editable) game for estimating addition and subtraction number sentences! How I Use It: This is usually an independent activity or partner work. Students roll one die (or pair of dice) to create a two 2-digit numbers to either add or subtract, then they rewrite the number sentence so it creates an estimation problem, and finally they solve for the estimated number sentence. A fun creating and ordering two-digit numbers game! My students love Baby Shark and enjoyed playing this game with Baby Shark playing on a loop in the background. The game is ideally played with three players, each player flips two playing cards to create a two-digit number (i.e. if they flip a 3 or a 9, they can make the number 39 or 93), then the students work together to order the numbers from "least to greatest" on the front and "greatest to least" on the back. A deck of playing cards or 0-9

This certificate is used alongside a Think Time Slip (by Paigley Heath on TpT) with my behavior chart (by Abby Buettner on TpT). I wanted to design something that would give recognition to my Super Students, and not just single out those who are not behaving with the Think Time Slips. I have a binder where I keep all of the negative slips and positive certificates as my own personal record.
This is just a reminder slip that I made for my students for our outdoors books and buddies day! It was very nice! The older grade levels read to the younger grade levels and they sat on the playground with a towel and several books.
