Engage NY Eureka Grade 1 Module 4 Mid Module Review/Diagnostic Test

Padgett Practice Picks This is a great tool to use as a diagnostic assessment before starting Module 4 with your firsties, as well as an excellent way to review for the Mid Module Assessment. Fact Fluency Flower Trackers for Addition Facts 0-10

Padgett Practice Picks I used these to track students' mastery of timed math facts. Each week I would give students a timed quiz (one minute) of 25 specific addition problems (+0, +1, +2, etc.). Once they received a 100% on their test, they were considered "masters" and able to color in a petal on their flower. Once they mastered all the facts they were rewarded with an incentive. Teaching style

I love teaching! I fully believe the ONLY way to teach is through building strong relationships with students, incorporating humor and infusing fun into each lesson, and exuding joy in what you do. I try to put teaching the WHOLE child first everyday. I have lots of experience co-teaching, single teaching, station teaching, interactive centers, etc. High focus on whole brain teaching, differentiation, and flexible grouping of students. Data-driven instruction.

My own education history

SUNY Oneonta Bachelor's in Childhood Education earned in May 2012 Johns Hopkins University Master's in Educational Studies earned in May 2016

Additional biographical information

I am from NYC and love it (even though it is completely overwhelming and crazy at times). I recently started kickboxing and I am totally addicted. I just got married in July 2016! I also love to cook, bake, watch reality TV and read good books (especially mysteries).
