You can give the students the work sheets as they are or make a template for them to make their own subtraction and addition number bonds.
On the Number Bond and Subtraction Sentence template with the cubes, cross out some of the cubes for each problem. Copy this worksheet and have the children write number bonds and subtraction sentences to correspond with the cubes. Emphasize that the greatest number must be written first in a subtraction sentence.

Keep track of either the Summer or Winter U. S. Olympic Medals count by filling in a circle for each medal earned on one of the 4 graphs I made.
I have space for 30 of each medal on the Winter Olympic graph. I have space for 50 of each medal on the Summer Olympic graph. I used past Olympic medal totals as a guide to how many circles I made for medals. In the Summer Olympics 2016, the U. S. earned 46 gold medals, 37 medals silver, and 38 bronze medals.

Copy wings and eye pattern on white paper. Copy body on tan construction paper. Copy the large circle (spy glass) on bright construction paper. Children then cut out the circles and ovals and glue them on the large circle to make Fly Guy. They can also draw Fly Guy using Youtube instructions and write their own original story about Fly Guy on the template for lined paper included.
I displayed both the paper Fly Guys and my student's illustrated stories in the hall for everyone to see.
