This is a fun way to wrap up your dissuasion of several major French philosophers of the Enlightenment Era, including Baron de Montesquieu, Voltaire, and Jean-Jacques Rousseau.

Primary source activity and chart that gets students thinking about the plight and variety of experiences of each Estate prior to the French Revolution. Students read the excerpts/grievances and then create a chart comparing the complaints and proposed solutions. This is part of discussion on causes of the French Revolution.
