Teaching style

Many lessons are also created as one-day to multi-day, substitute-ready projects, making them ideal for times when teachers are away for CTSO competitions, field trips, conferences, or professional learning—without sacrificing meaningful instruction. Some are asynchronous activities that are quick to set up and easy to use, others can be used to kick off major projects in just the right season or to align with CTSO competitive cycles. These flexible resources work well for CTE teachers, business and marketing educators, substitute teachers, homeschool families, and career-focused programs looking for engaging, authentic projects that go beyond worksheets and busywork.

My own education history

BA English CTE Business Teaching Certification with Cooperative Education Endorsement After a 20 year career in global marketing and communications, I turned to teaching marketing as a CTE teacher in the district from which I graduated some two and a half decades prior. I was HOOKED. It felt like magic to wake up every day and go to work...until it didn't. I spent eight years building a CTE program from the ground up at an urban Title I school in Arizona, starting and sustaining a student run business that could pay for ALL CTSO EXPENSES (including travel) and sponsor other scholarships and clubs on campus.

Additional biographical information

I am a second career CTE teacher who fell in love with teaching Marketing and advising DECA and FBLA for eight years. Unfortunately, my own health priorities and other family needs has taken me off of the campus, but it hasn't taken my passion for teaching away. I've decided to look for the 'glimmer' and reroute this passion a little and use my time to make life EASIER and classroom engagement DOABLE. When I was in the classroom, I always felt that "if I just had another adult in the room, I could really turn this idea into something fantastic. So, I'm working with my former colleagues, students and professional mentors to build tools for high school classrooms. clubs and organizations that will feel more like professional development and less like your typical HS section.
