About the store

Hi! I am Patrice Brown, founder of The New Teachers' Corner and a current classroom teacher with over 10 years of experience. I'm also a national trainer, math coach, education specialist, mom of a child diagnosed with autism, and mentor. Everything I create is driven by one passion: I don't want to fail teachers, and I don't want to fail students. I believe learning should be owned by the students and supported by a teacher who feels equipped, confident, and excited to teach. My resources are created to make teaching easier, learning meaningful, and success possible for both teachers and students. I want goals to be reached, joy to be felt, and shared success to be the norm in every classroom.

This is one of my favorite ways to get students talking, thinking, and learning from each other while reviewing radicals. Students work in partners and stations, explaining their reasoning, justifying answers, defending their thinking, and even peer-tutoring. Experience

Awards & shining teacher moments

Teaching has given me some of my proudest moments. I have been honored to be named Teacher of the Year and Ida S. Baker Educator of the Year at my school. I currently serve as a National Pre-Ap faculty member, which allows me to support teachers across the country. Over the years, I've worked as a mathematics coach, mathematics department head, and a district mentor, helping new and experienced teachers grow in confidence and practice. I now teach AVID, where I guide students across all subjects as well as assist them in scholarship writing and college and career preparation. These experiences keep me grounded in the classroom and passionate about creating resources that work in real school with real students.
