This is a set of question and answer cards that cover all of the VA SOL's for 2nd & 3rd grade. These cards can be used in many ways within the classroom and beyond. Students can use them independently, in a partnership, small groups, and even whole group. Independently a student could play memory match and they could also do the same thing with a partner or use them as flash cards. Small groups could create game boards to accompany these cards and whole group could utilize the cards with Quiz-

Center pictures-printable icons Print these on cardstock, laminate and place velcro or magnets on the back for an easy visual for students during centers. With these easy to understand pictures, students will know exactly what they are to be doing at all times. No more, "Mrs. Ott... I'm Done!..."

This page can be used as whole group lesson or as pre & post assessment. This allows students to demonstrate their understanding in multiple ways; through selection from the provided word bank, by adding descriptive words of their own, and by illustrating their own pictures. This is fully editable and is naturally differentiated because guidance of the word bank is provided for those that need it and it can also be removed if you choose. Attach these labels to a small bag of Goldfish or Swedish Fish to welcome students to class at Open House or 1st week of school.

Exit Ticket to be given to students after any reading or discussion whether small group or whole group. The student is responsible for writing how he or she demonstrated responsible actions during that period. This gives them some locust of control and once they know an Exit Ticket may be coming, they are more apt to become involved in their learning. I hope you enjoy! :-)
