Use these worksheets, templates, and directions to have your students conduct a brief research project and oral report about Kentucky or United States birds. A simple Power Point template is included as well as directions for doing a Google image search and creating a presentation using the Office 365 app, Sway. You can choose to have your students make a Power Point or a Sway to use for their oral presentation.

Fun research activity for Thanksgiving. Students can use KYVL, another online encyclopedia, or print encyclopedias to answer the questions about turkeys. I have them work with a partner. After answering the questions, I let them put one of their facts on a turkey color sheet to display in hallway OR if time permits, they create a turkey VOKI using 5 facts they learned. I post the Voki's on my class webpage. I tweet a message out to parents letting them know to check out the Turkey Voki's. T
