About the store
I started out as an elementary music teacher that also worked with the high school band program. Later, I decided to focus on my elementary program, but after 16 years, budget cuts caused our county to cancel the program. So, I began teaching reading and language arts to 3rd graders at my school. Quite a switch! There is still a lot of rockin' and readin' that goes on in my classroom. My life in education has been like a tapestry, rich with a lot of different experiences. I hope that you can see my love for teaching and for music in the products in my store. Thanks for stopping by to visit!

Great Activating Strategy! Get your students thinking about words with more than one meaning, start your lesson, and assign partners all at once. Each student receives a sentence with a missing word. They have to search among their classmates and find another student with a sentence that can be filled in with the same word as their missing word. Once they have found their parnters, you can assign them a new activity of your choosing or one of the other multiple meaning activities I have posted

How many times have you been reading a text or a Facebook post, and thought, "Does ANYbody know the difference between they're, their, and there?" Well this cute and catchy song is a good way to make sure your students not only understand the difference but remember it later! The song is absolutely free and special to me, because some of my favorite students are performing with me. If you like the song, please take a look at the companion unit in my products. As always, thanks for stopping by
