Teaching style

I’m a practical, no-fluff kind of teacher. I believe in smart structure, steady challenge, and helping students level up—one intentional step at a time. If it’s engaging, efficient, and elevates thinking, I’m in. Bonus points if it copies straight into a sub plan. 😄

Awards & shining teacher moments

I’ve been lucky enough to be voted Teacher of the Year four times. I’ve scored AP Language essays for the college board (all three questions), written curriculum for statewide programs, and directed student theater with actual sets, costumes, and chaos. But honestly, my favorite moments are when a kid who swore they’d hate the book suddenly gets it and doesn’t want to put it down.

My own education history

Bachelors, Masters, National Board Certification. I seem chaotic, but I have a plan.
