There are 2 version of this assignment. The first version is easier than the second. Students have to plot ordered pairs and draw a Happy New Year party hat. The second version is the same as the first, but the students also have to draw a topper on the hat, so it is a little harder. This is a great graphing review for students coming back from winter break! Students can color the confetti and party hat, to make this a fun coloring page to welcome the new year!
Students will be graphing whole numbers and decimal numbers (only 0.5 decimals) on both the x and y axis in quadrant 1. There are two versions of the leaf. The first version has the words "happy fall" in the middle of the leaf, but the second does not say "happy fall". You choose whichever version makes the most sense for what you want your students doing. I use the blank leaf and have students color them and make a fall tree on our hallway bulletin board. If you want it to say something other t
There are multiple versions of this assignment. Some are more simple than others. In all versions, students have to plot ordered pairs and draw half a heart. They then reflect that half of a heart over the y-axis. This teaches them about reflecting over an axis and lines of symmetry. This is a great graphing review for students to do in February! Students can color the hearts, to make this a fun coloring page to celebrate Valentine's Day!
This lesson combines standards 6.NS.6-8. The worksheet has students practice plotting on a horizontal and vertical number line using what they have learned about rational numbers with distance and money. The first problem gives them a scale for the number line and directions to move on the number line. They have to create a realistic word problem that goes along with what they graphed. The second problem has them think about a balance in a savings account and how it moves when you deposit or wit
