Help! Series: Word Problems
This handout provides a definition of word problems in easy-to-understand language, as well as information about what difficulty with word problems looks like, why the ability to solve word problems matters, and most importantly, accessible ideas for how parents can help their child develop the reasoning skills needed to solve word problems.

Rules of the Ruler
This activity familiarizes students with the English measurement system and the ruler.
The first portion is a review of ruler basics, followed by a series of independent tasks to practice measurement skills.

When I’m not at school, I love spending time with my husband and our two adorable rescue dogs, Meika and Maisey. I also like running, baking, and teaching myself new things.
