About the store
I've been teaching Math for over twelve years now, and still love it. My teaching journey began at the Baker School in Brookline, MA, where I taught 6th grade Math for three years. For the past ten+ years, I've been the Middle School Math teacher at Northern Light School in Oakland, CA, where I've created a curriculum that encourages students to move at their own pace, sharpen problem-solving skills and strategies, and develop a confidence in and appreciation for Math.

Solid Geometry MathCounts Karate Challenge Packet
Challenge 8th graders or High Schoolers to improve their understanding of Solid Geometry with this set of 56 MathCounts questions organized by difficulty level. Students' problem-solving skills will be pushed to the limit as they advance from White Belt toward Black Belt. Great for early finishers, advanced learners, or High Schooler needed extra review. Can occupy a small group of students for several class periods. Addresses numerous Common Core Geometry standards.

Scavenger Hunt - Pythagorean Theorem to Find Area
Skill: use the Pythagorean Theorem to find the area of right triangles and isosceles triangles.This scavenger hunt features 12 questions, 1 challenge question, an answer key, and an answer sheet for students to record their answers. It's a neat extension activity for the Pythagorean Theorem because it asks students to use the formula for the area of a triangle as well. Students solve each card, then find the card with the answer they just got under "previous answer." When they solve all 12 ques
