This is provided as a word document so that you may modify it to fit the needs of your students. It provides multiple visual prompts for letter sizing- a yellow strip for sizing lower case letters, a dotted midline, and a space in between writing lines so that the lower case letters that descend below the line do not intersect the next line of text. The writing space of these lines are 1/2 inch. Suitable for Grade 1-3.

This is a great writing paper to help students organize their writing. They write on the white lines and skip the gray lines. The only writing that should go into the gray area are the letters that have "tails" such as g, p, y. There is a red bold line on the left as a strong visual prompt to return to the left red margin when transitioning to a new line.

This paper provides multiple visual prompts for letter sizing. It is scaled to have a 1/3 inch writing space, similar to standard notebook paper. It contains a yellow strip to assist with sizing and line placement of lower case letters as well as a dotted midline and space between writing lines to resolve the issue of lower case letters that have "tails" under the baseline from going into the next line of text. Use sky- ground paper to help students differentiate letter sizing. Tall letters start at the sky line and touch the ground. Short letters start at the midline and touch the ground. Letters with tails start at the mid line and go underground.
