Vectors and Relative Velocity Physics Curriculum. The bundle is differentiated for CP (Regular), Honors, or AP Physics 1. The bundle includes PowerPoint, Guided Notes, Homework, Review, Pacing Guide, and Assessments. This lesson plan bundle includes topics on graphing vectors, adding and subtracting vectors, unit vectors, and relative velocity in 1 and 2-D. This lesson plan is for high school physics students. They will learn about vectors both graphically and mathematically. Students will als

Great project to wrap up the unit of Projectile Motion or 2-D Kinematics. Students will build, collect and calculate data and predict where a ball will land from their catapult. Video and written instruction prepared to make this an amazing project for any physics classroom. There is nothing better to solidify the student's understanding of projectile motion than to have them build and test out catapults. Many times, students look forward to this project all marking period. This project allows s

Simulation by PhET Interactive Simulations, University of Colorado Boulder, licensed under CC-BY 4.0. This is a simple inquiry-based lab that I love to give students as an intro to vectors. Students will figure out how to do vector addition graphically and mathematically. They will learn what all the different symbols and components mean within vectors and how to apply them. Everything is fully editable.Students will:- Learn through play - Have guided questions to direct learning - Add vectors

In this lab students will be using the field, gymnasium, or hallway to graph vectors. This is a simple lab that shows how vectors are used in the "real-world." Great for getting the students moving with only simple materials. This Vector Field Day Lab is perfectly balanced to be extremely fun while only having a few steps. This leaves the students feeling quite accomplished and they will ultimately understand vectors. What is included (FULLY EDITABLE):Lab Worksheet - Differentiated worksheets f

Here are my FOUR favorite labs for Vectors. Each of these labs leaves my students excited to learn physics through doing experiments, discussing, and moving their bodies. Every year these are the labs I provide to my students who often tell me that physics has become their new favorite class! Physics Topics Include:- Adding and Subtracting Vectors Graphically - Adding and Subtracting Vectors Mathematically - Relative Velocity - Geometry Every Lab Includes [FULLY EDITABLE]:- Lab worksheets differ

This is not a traditional Force Vector Lab. It has a lot more emphasis on inquiry-based learning opposed to the classical labs which have lots of directions to follow and information to plug in. This lab is great because there are an infinite number of ways to solve each problem/scenario. Students will need to be creative and think for themselves in order to complete this lab. What is included (FULLY EDITABLE):Lab Worksheet - Differentiated worksheets for Conceptual, Regular, Honors, and AP -

Teaching style

Science should be about questions, experiments, and discovery. I like to guide my classroom so that the students are in the driver's seat regarding their education. I make sure everything is prepared in the school as much as possible. With everything organized and prepared, students are more clear about what they need to do and are encouraged to seek help from each other instead of me. As a teacher, I try to see myself more as a facilitator and a mediator than a lecturer. I believe most of the teaching should come from the students themselves. I'm here to spark inspiration and show the learners how to use tools to help them grow and succeed in the real world.

I work hard on the material that I present in my classroom, but I know that I can only impact so many students in a given year. I hope that by sharing my material with you, I can make an impact on an even greater number of young minds and learners. :).
