Plain and Simple

This is a PowerPoint that can be used to assess students knowledge of properties of matter. It is a cut and glue activity. Correlates to the First Grade TEK 1.5A classify objects by observable properties of the materials from which they are made such as larger and smaller, heavier and lighter, shape, color, and texture.

Students learn to read fluently by memorizing sight words. Learning sight words helps students build vocabulary and become more fluent readers. I designed this to help students memorize and retain sight words, which appear frequently in text. These are the first 25 sight words from Fry’s List.
