Sometimes students need a bit of guidance when it comes to explaining their work on challenging problems. This format will help guide students through thinking about a challenging problem and how they solved it. Students learn better when they have the chance to "teach" it to someone else and this helps give students the opportunity to do that on their own. It also greatly helps teachers when grading student's work as it provides a clear way for students to record their process and solutions.
