About the store

Experience

I have taught for 15 years in a wide variety of elementary classroom environments including basic skills, in class support, and enrichment. I was trained in Reader's and Writer's Workshop at the University of Pennsylvania. I also specialize in training teachers to incorporate technology in simple, yet effective, ways.

Teaching style

My teaching starts with a workshop philosophy, then adds a dose of skill work and close reading strategies. I believe that all three of these aspects together help my students become strong, independent, and motivated readers and writers. Developing critical, deep thinkers and lifelong learners is always my first goal as an educator.
