About the store
Before earning my Master’s degree, I worked as an SLPA providing early intervention services and supporting children with autism. After completing my Master’s, I transitioned to a new company where I now work in an EDIT program, primarily serving children in early intervention, along with some preschool-aged clients. I truly love what I do. I enjoy building connections with my clients and using play-based, meaningful interactions to support and grow their language development.

About the store

Experience

Before earning my Master’s degree, I worked as an SLPA providing early intervention services and supporting children with autism. After completing my Master’s, I transitioned to a new company where I now work in an EDIT program, primarily serving children in early intervention, along with some preschool-aged clients. I truly love what I do. I enjoy building connections with my clients and using play-based, meaningful interactions to support and grow their language development.

Teaching style

I created these handouts because I kept having the same conversations with families — “What should I be working on?” and “Am I doing this right?” These are the exact strategies I model during sessions and talk through with parents. Nothing fancy, nothing overwhelming. Just simple ways to support communication through play, without pressure or constant quizzing. If this helps you feel more confident during play with your child, then it’s doing exactly what it’s meant to do.

My own education history

With a Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, I specialize in supporting children’s language and communication development.

Additional biographical information

Hi! I’m Lauren. I’m a speech-language pathologist who loves helping little ones learn to communicate. I’m married to Ethan, have a sweet cat named Ruthie, and my faith in the Lord guides everything I do. I created these resources to share simple, practical ways to support communication through play, the exact strategies I use with families every day. I hope that they help you feel confident and encouraged!
