I love having beautiful anchor charts/posters in my classroom for students to reference during lessons. This poster is perfect for when the students are reading narrative, analyzing them, or writing them. I had this poster printed and have it hanging in my classroom. In Philosophical Chairs students are given statements to consider. After reading the statement and choosing a position, the students move to the corresponding side of the classroom. Students will share/argue why they either agree or disagree. This lesson/activity can be used as a pre-reading activity before reading The Lady, or The Tiger? .My students love this activity because they get to share their ideas and get up and move!
