I used this activity with my students after reading part 1 of the novel, On The Come Up. It fit perfectly with the time of year and was a great Valentine's Day activity. Students created Valentine's Day cards to one character in the perspective of another character. It was a great way for my students to practice creative writing and demonstrate their knowledge of the text/characters.
