Shapes and Colors Matching Game
The object of this activity is to have the children match the colored shape to the outlined shape. Laminate the outlined shapes and cut out the colored shapes and laminate those. The name of the shape corresponds with the color of the shape. Now you have a simple matching game. Children can learn their colors and shapes with this one simple game. I have used this for older toddlers as well as preschool children.

Experience
I have been a preschool teacher for 10 years and a homeschool parent for 2 years. I have worked with special needs children and with behavior problems as well. I'm also a foster/adopt parent.
Teaching style
I believe young children learn through play and experimentation. Children are born exploring their world through experience and I believe this continues throughout their early years of school and even to some degree the rest of their lives. I love hands on teaching. I love to teach my children through real life hands on experience. I believe children learn better if they can experience first had. If that can interact with what they are learning they will retain more of what they learn
Awards & shining teacher moments
I have a CDA certificate for preschool children and currently working on my AA in Early Childhood Education. I also have a license as a homeschool parent.
I also have a foster parent license.
My own education history
I graduated high school. After years of trying I decided to finally take the plunge and went back to school (college) to get my degree in Early Childhood education.
Additional biographical information
I'm a father of 3 children, my wife and I homeschool our children. We enjoy camping, taking walks or hikes even if it is just around the family farm.
