This activity is a visual way for students to not only hear the sounds in words, but see the Elkonin boxes move as they say the sounds. This allows students to visualize where the sound said or heard is, in relation to the word. It's easy for teachers or parents to use, too! Just put the PowerPoint in presentation mode and click your mouse or space bar to enlarge the Elkonin boxes as the sounds of the words are said. This activity can also be used for phoneme isolation.
