About the store
Hi! I’m Luke — a language educator with 14+ years of classroom experience and a passion for making learning stick through interactive, engaging activities. I’ve taught French and Russian to learners of all ages, from toddlers to adults, across K–12 and higher education. After years of creating custom materials for my own students, I’m excited to share resources that actually work in real classrooms. Have a specific skill, theme, or level you need materials for? Feel free to reach out! I love creating resources in response to real classroom needs and am always happy to take requests or adapt materials. You can email me at: lwstratton@gmail.com When I’m not designing activities, you’ll find me geeking out over language-learning apps, exploring how AI can support (not replace!) great teaching, or practicing my Mandarin and German. I’ve lived and taught internationally — including a Fulbright year in Russia and time teaching in France — which shapes how I bring authentic cultural context into everything I create.

Teaching style

I believe in "pedagogy first, technology second." Every resource I create starts with a clear learning goal — then I figure out the most engaging way to get students there. My materials are: ✨ Interactive & hands-on — fill-in-the-blank, matching, dialogues, and creative activities that get students producing language, not just consuming it 🌍 Culturally authentic — real-world contexts like French markets, cafés, and family traditions so students learn how and why language is used 📐 Scaffolded for success — activities progress from recognition to production, building confidence along the way 🎯 Minimal prep for teachers — clear layouts, answer keys included, ready to print or project I design resources I'd actually want to use in my own classroom — no fluff, no busywork, just effective practice that respects your time and your students' intelligence.
