Pomp 'n Primary

I spent 5 years teaching PreK and am now teaching 3rd Grade. Although I have worked with elementary aged students through many of my past careers. I worked with all aged children for 7 years through a local Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) chapter. I also managed an elementary after school program for 3 years.

I am a 150%-er! I always look for new and innovative teaching strategies! I am gimmicky and have no problem making a fool of myself if it keeps the kids engaged and helps them retain what they are learning! I prefer bright colors and I like to give book characters their own voice and facial expressions when I read! I strive to love my students as if they are my own. And I work hard to partner with parents at whatever level they need.

My Bachelor's is actually in Sociology-Criminology. I went back and completed 48 education hours and got my certificate in Early Childhood and have since then completed my dual certification for Elementary Education.
