This powerpoint includes the steps of the Fab 5 Strategy. Students use the five steps to solve multi-step word problems. This strategy gives students a way to find what is important in the problem and figure out which strategy would work the best. Students enjoy having only 5 steps to remember!

Students are able to practice using the order of operations with this scavenger hunt. The students roam around the room finding and answering each equation on a total of ten stars. This could be used as a whole class activity or as a center. Included: 10 stars including equations to solve Operation Star Hunt answer sheet
