Experience
I taught 5th grade for ten years in the public schools, Children's Literature at the college level for 2 years, and am beginning my second year in 2nd grade. I am also a certified reading specialist and school librarian.
Teaching style
I am always moving around the classroom, and encourage my students to move throughout the day as well! I love using workshop models for reading, writing, and math. I use a lot of interactive activities and games to engage my students with the content I am teaching. It's more fun for all of us that way!
