Who said adding and subtracting integers can't be relaxing? This fun activity produces multiple warm-colored leaves for your hallway!! I make a tree and the students supply the leaves. It's a great activity to welcome the autumn weather and to get your students practicing adding and subtracting integers. (Added bonus: 3 collecting like term problems are included in the student practice.) Tips: Print 2 pages per sheet to save paper and to have the problems attached to the leaf.

Teacher, Print a "deck of cards" for the number of groups you have. Shuffle the answer/response cards. It's a good practice to print them on color paper and laminate. For example, the problem cards can be yellow and the answer cards can be red or blue (a darker color that is hard to see through). Have the students follow the rules as explained.
