Preview of Domain and Range (discrete) guided notes

Domain and Range (discrete) guided notes

Guided notes for domain and range (discrete) with example problems. The design was for all students to answer on whiteboards, but you could easily switch up as necessary to fit your classes needs.
Preview of Multiplying and Dividing Polynomials Notes/Practice

Multiplying and Dividing Polynomials Notes/Practice

Guided notes or practice for multiplying and dividing polynomials - it has boxes set up for box method, but I always show students box method and FOIL method for multiplying. For dividing I show long division as well as "reverse box method".

Exponential and Logarithmic Exam (hard - open ended)

this is a "real world" application exam for exponential and logarithmic. I use as the second half with my easier exponential and logarithmic multiple choice exam. This has a bomb that spreads radiation exponentially and the second part of the test deals with calculating radioactive decay to come back to the city after the bomb hits.
Preview of Algebra 2 review exponential, polynomials, logs, factoring

Algebra 2 review exponential, polynomials, logs, factoring

1. Exponential Functions (graphing, real world) 2. Logarithmic Functions (graphing, real world) 3. Polynomials (add, subtract, multiply, divide long division, divide synthetic, GCF, factoring when a=1, factoring by grouping, sum and difference of cubes) 4. Simplifying radicals See preview for what review looks like

Preview of Exponential Functions - buying houses and selling cars

Exponential Functions - buying houses and selling cars

The project explores buying different priced houses with different interest rates to explore how exponential functions affect real world total amounts paid. The second portion explores buying a new car. Each car has a different depreciation value and students explore exponential decay by analyzing the depreciation of a car's value over time.

Cubic Function Investigation and introduction

Students will graph the cubic parent function. Then, students will graph a variety of transformations to discover and formulate transformations rules of cubic functions.
Preview of Square root function transformation investigation

Square root function transformation investigation

students will graph square root parent function and subsequent transformations, then formulate transformation rules introduction to square root functions
Preview of Quadratic Functions Transformation Investigation

Quadratic Functions Transformation Investigation

Investigation of quadratic transformations - students graph quadratics in vertex form to investigate and formulate rules for vertex form transformations
Preview of Exponential Function Transformation Investigation

Exponential Function Transformation Investigation

Students will graph the exponential parent function and then a series of changes that will allow them to discover and formulate rules for transformations of exponential functions.
Preview of Quadratic Exam

Quadratic Exam

This is a two part exam. The first 10 questions are best aligned with algebra 1 or basic quadratics. The rest of the exam is more difficult and open-minded. The second half is aligned to IB exams.
