Students will create a Thanksgiving table filled with 4 of their favorite Thanksgiving foods while following directions and given areas of each. Two pages per sheet to save paper. Graph paper needed to complete the activity.

Hands-on group activity where students explore what happens when a brownie is shared with more people each time. Data collection, vocabulary and short answer. Answer sheet and tips provided.

This activity is great for independent work or partner/group work to assess understanding of AREA as well as animal adaptations. The integration of both math and science concepts is the focus of this lesson and students use what they know about each concept to complete the small project. Teachers may need to do a little bit of prep before the activity depending on which option you chose.
