Practicality

I use this in conjunction with Khan Academy. My students are in 3rd grade and I really encourage them to work hard and pass the early math mission, which will provide them with a solid foundation for the rest of third grade. As an incentive I reward them with this "30 Minute Free-time Coupon". The student love it and as a result they work really hard! I could customize this resource to fit whatever need.

I used this template as final project after studying expository texts. I taught them about every part that makes up an expository text and the the students created their own expository text after doing research on a specific topic. It was great fun!

I use this to test my students on their Weekly Words Their Way Groups. I have Day of the Week listed so they always know to put what day it is.

I send this home at the beginning of the year to the parents of anyone in my class who did not bring in their school supplies. Just circle what they're missing!
