I'm Stephanie, a certified middle and high school math teacher who has spent the past six years homeschooling my four kids (ages 5–11). I’ve tutored off and on for 20 years and have led co-op classes for homeschool groups. I'm Stephanie, a certified middle and high school math teacher who has spent the past six years homeschooling my four kids (ages 5–11). I’ve tutored off and on for 20 years and have led co-op classes for homeschool groups. While teaching in a traditional school, I was honored to help select a new math curriculum—an experience that deepened my understanding of how we teach math and how students learn it best. I’ve always loved helping students realize just how capable they really are.
Teaching style
I love learning—and I hate wasting time. My resources are simple, effective, and designed to help students build fluency through consistent, straightforward (and fun) practice. I believe kids learn best when they can focus, get into a rhythm, and build confidence. My goal is to make those kinds of experiences easy to access and easy to teach. My materials don’t replace core instruction; they support it with low-prep fluency work that’s actually doable.
Awards & shining teacher moments
One of my favorite teaching moments came when my 6th grade math students connected all the dots between long division, fractions, decimals, and percents. They were choosing their own (correct!) strategies and confidently switching between approaches. That’s what I want to help every student reach—real fluency and understanding, not just memorization.
My own education history
I'm certified to teach middle and high school math, and I’ve spent years continuing my education informally through homeschooling. I’ve studied Charlotte Mason’s philosophy of education and do my best to implement her ideas at home—especially her emphasis on meaningful connections, strong habits, and short, powerful lessons.

I’ve lived most of my life in Missouri and Pennsylvania. I’m curious by nature, and I love solving problems—especially ones that help other teachers.
