About the store
Hi! I’m Mandy, the educator behind Practice Makes Possible. I bring over 15 years of experience in the education field, working with a wide range of learners and educators. I currently serve as an ESL teacher for grades K–12, supporting multilingual students across all levels. In addition to classroom teaching, I also train educators pursuing their ESL certification through our local intermediate unit. A role I love because it combines mentorship, advocacy, and real-world practice. The resources I create are designed to be practical, engaging, and accessible, especially for classrooms with emerging bilinguals and developing readers. Whether you're a classroom teacher, support specialist, or homeschool educator, I'm so glad you're here!

Teaching style

I believe all students can grow with the right tools and encouragement. I enjoy creating resources that help teachers support diverse learners, including English language learners, with clear routines and engaging content. My teaching style focuses on inclusivity, simplicity, and strong literacy foundations. I design with real classrooms in mind so that materials are practical, effective, and easy to use across grade levels.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Over the years, I’ve been honored to serve both students and fellow educators in meaningful ways. One of my proudest roles is teaching future ESL-certified educators through our local intermediate unit, where I get to support teachers as they grow their skills and confidence. In my K–12 ESL role, I’ve had the opportunity to design school-wide language supports, lead professional development, and help multilingual students thrive academically and socially. My most rewarding moments always come from seeing a student gain the confidence to use their voice in any language.

My own education history

I hold a bachelor's degree in education and a master's degree in curriculum and instruction. I am certified in ESL and have completed additional training in language development and culturally responsive teaching. I am currently pursuing my doctorate in curriculum and instruction, with a continued focus on supporting diverse learners and effective classroom practice.

Additional biographical information

I’ve worked in a variety of educational settings including urban, suburban, and rural schools. My experience spans from early childhood to high school, and I’ve taught in both general education and ESL-specific roles. Outside the classroom, I enjoy developing resources that make planning easier for teachers and learning more accessible for students. I’m especially passionate about creating materials that support language growth, literacy foundations, and student confidence.
