Experience

I’ve been teaching 4th grade since graduating from Arizona State University in 2013. I’m passionate about creating a positive, engaging classroom and take pride in leading both students and colleagues. I strive to empower students to take ownership of their learning while collaborating with my team to develop creative, effective strategies.

Teaching style

My teaching style focuses on making learning fun and engaging through gamified lessons and collaboration. I believe students learn best when actively involved, so I create opportunities for teamwork on projects and challenges. This approach motivates students to take risks, problem-solve, and support one another while building key skills like communication, critical thinking, and teamwork.

My own education history

I began my college journey at a community college to save money and spent two years there, where I also met my husband! I then transferred to Arizona State University, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Education. It was a practical path that worked well for me and set me up for a career I love.
