Teaching style

I believe in a healthy mix of teacher-focused and student-focused learning. Teachers must give students a strong foundation of content with explicit instruction, however, students need time to also engage in cooperative groups, have a productive struggle and talk with their peers to deepen their understanding. It's a balancing act!
